Getting Started
We offer trauma-informed individual, couples, family, and group mental health therapy.
New to Therapy?
At your request, begin with a free 15min Initial Consultation so you can get a feel for the provider's personality and explore if they can help you with your needs. The process of finding a therapist can feel exhausting and often takes time to find the right match. Sometimes the cost can make you feel apprehensive to begin, there may be parts of ourselves that are resisting therapy, or maybe we are slow to follow through with getting started. Some of us know the moment we get started it means facing the things we've been avoiding and looking at ourselves in the mirror.
Whatever the case may be, these emotions are completely normal and we encourage you to lean into that discomfort if it means finally having the support you deserve! When scheduling an appointment, be sure to indicate whether you'd like an initial consult OR the Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluation.
Done Therapy Before?
You likely already know what the therapeutic process looks like and are ready to start meeting with someone again. Maybe you're looking for a different therapy experience or specialized care. We are committed to providing you with trauma-informed approaches and continuing our learning to help you to the best of our ability. Let us know what you'd like to happen in the therapeutic setting this time around!
Therapy is Collaborative...
Building a trusting, therapeutic relationship and feeling connected to your therapist is one of the most important aspects of your care in addition to your commitment to services. During the initial consultation, the intake assessment, and along your journey throughout therapy, we will work collaboratively with you using our knowledge and skillset to help you identify and work towards your personal goals.
It's also normal to have periods where it's time to regroup! We encourage clients to check-in with their therapists if they reach a point where they'd like to switch things up or work towards another goal.
If for any reason the therapeutic relationship does not feel like the appropriate fit or setting, we are happy to refer you to another provider internally or provide you with an external referral to a provider who may better serve your needs.
